Fancy new lightbulbs not so great....

I learned that those fancy-schmantzy new lightbulbs that are way more expensive than the good ole ones we've used since childhood do not work in fixtures with photocells. (Photocells are the sensors that will turn a light on when it's dark and off when it's light out. One of the joys of homeownership - having to learn all about things you never wanted to know about.)

That sucker didn't even last 24 hours. Back to the good ole standbys I've always known and loved.

One other thing about the new fancy schmanzy light bulbs. You have to be extra careful if you break one and something else about disposing of them. Can't remember what it is.

I just think they look a bit odd.

Remember Uncle Fester on the Addams Family would stick a light bulb in his mouth? lol Don't think the new gizmo would look the same in his mouth.

I think they have mercury or some crap. I just don't like that white inside school room look they give off.
